We would like to extend our gratitude to our project architects, Access Architecture, for their partnership with us on our veteran housing project at First A.M.E. Zion Church in Albina, Oregon. Over the past two years, Access Architecture has played a vital role in bringing the church’s vision to life through early feasibility studies, collaborative visioning with church leadership and Logos, and steady project advancement. With $3 million in grant funding secured, we are energized and excited to move into the next phase of work alongside Access Architecture. At the end of the slides, you will see a wonderful photo of the Access team volunteering at First A.M.E. Zion Church last year to help organize the church’s historical archives, a meaningful reflection of their commitment to honoring and supporting the church.

On Saturday, Greater New Saint Mathews (GNSM) Church put forth a dedication service to commemorate the affordable housing property we are partnering with them on. At the service, we were blessed to highlight and bring together community members, GNSM congregation members, Sarah Dusseault of LA4LA , City of Los Angeles official Councilman Curren Price and his successor José Ugarte, Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation CEO Shawn Escoffery and Max Disney, grandson of Roy Disney and Chair of RPDFF, Hal Hoxie, CEO of BUTTERFIELD FOUNDATION, and of course Bishop Adams and his family, the leaders of GNSM Church. We shared hopes, visions, and prayers for the upcoming project over a delicious family style meal. The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation and The Butterfield Foundation made a crucial impact at just the right time that allowed LOGOS to move this great project forward. Councilman Price spoke about the necessity of affordable housing and the importance of supporting companies and organizations like Logos and RPDFF in advancing our mission to change the landscape of Los Angeles for the better. Too often those with less are ignored and continuously underserved. We hope that through partnerships such as these we can begin to rewrite that narrative. We were blessed to be formally honored by District 9 for the work we are doing in Los Angeles and are humbled. We look forward to continuous collaboration and hard work for the benefit of Los Angeles. We are grateful for Councilman Price's leadership. We are extremely grateful to have built such a strong and rich friendship with Bishop Adams and his congregation and are excited to continue working towards our shared goals together.
