“You can’t drag yourself down. You have to stay positive and stay locked in.” Last week, I had the honor of welcoming Ben Griffin to our Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC HQ for a firmwide town hall. It was a great conversation and a reminder of how much mindset matters. Ben’s path hasn’t been a straight line. Just a few years ago, he had one sponsor – I’m proud to say it was Lord Abbett – and had stepped away from professional golf to work a desk job. Now, he’s playing the game all over the world and competing at the highest level. What stood out to me was his mental approach. Golf is a lonely sport. You have to stay focused, confident, and positive – especially when the results aren’t going your way. Ben’s learned to keep showing up, keep grinding, and keep believing in himself. There’s a lot we can all take from that – whether we’re on the 18th green or in the boardroom. Thanks, Ben, for sharing your story and for reminding us that how we show up matters.

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming PGA TOUR pro Ben Griffin to our global HQ in Jersey City. Ben kicked off the day with breakfast alongside our Advisor Consultants and summer interns, followed by a wide-ranging town hall with our CEO & Managing Partner, Doug Sieg. He even found time to work on his short game – and teach a few of us a thing or two in the process. We’re grateful to Ben for spending the day with us and sharing his insights, both on and off the course. We’ll continue cheering him on every step of the way.
