Huge thanks to our incredible team of volunteers who spent the afternoon at Feed the Mass helping prepare Thanksgiving meals for our community! 🦃✨ We loaded meal containers with mashed potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, and gravy, sealed them up, and added labels, prepping around 560 meals in total. These meals will be distributed through partner organizations that support school lunch programs, including preschools, as well as transitional housing communities managed by Urban Alchemy. Our very own Ryan Craney will be presenting at the ACADIA Conference on November 6 in Miami. Ryan will share his latest research paper - Sensing Change: Sensor-Based Adaptive Formwork for Fabric Formed (Unstabilized) Poured Earth™. This innovative approach re-imagines fabric formwork systems for Poured Earth construction, a sustainable alternative to concrete that uses clay and other materials found onsite. His presentation will explore their proposed system of using moisture sensors to measure the moister level of the poured earth mixture, loosening tension on the fabric formwork as it dries.
