🌸 Giving Back, Growing Together 🌸 Last month, on Saturday morning (August 23, 2025), members of our ASPIRE DEI group joined forces for the Summer Japanese Garden Cleanup, hosted by the Japan-America Society of Houston (JASH) in collaboration with the Hermann Park Conservancy (HPC). Held at the serene Japanese Garden in Hermann Park, this event was more than just a clean-up—it was a celebration of community, collaboration, and connection. 🧹 Colleagues from both the CVO and WTX offices came together outside of work hours to contribute their time and energy. 🌿 The experience of working in nature brought a sense of joy and renewal to everyone involved. 🤝 Titles and grade levels melted away as people collaborated side by side, united by purpose and shared values. It was heartening to see how a simple act of service could foster such deep connections and reinforce the spirit of inclusion and teamwork that ASPIRE stands for. We are proud to announce that LYB is taking part in a joint development of a new bio-circular film packaging solution in collaboration with Futamura (Cellulose Films) Chemical, a leader in sustainable packaging manufacturing, Iwatani Corporation, a major Japanese trading company and Shiseido, a renowned leader in the beauty industry with over 150 years of history. This innovative cosmetic film packaging series partially incorporates LYB bio-based polypropylene (PP) polymer, CirculenRenew, in the outer packaging film of select products in Shiseido's Clé de Peau Beauté line. “At LYB, our purpose is creating solutions for everyday sustainable living. We take pride in cooperating with Shiseido, Futamura, and Iwatani on this initiative, supporting brand owners in achieving their environmental targets and helping to reduce product carbon footprints in the beauty industry,” said Allen Yu, senior vice president of LyondellBasell, Asia Pacific. On Aug. 22, LYB joined Haleon, a leading consumer healthcare brand, and the Amity Foundation in Lujiazui, Shanghai, for a heartwarming charity sale and donation ceremony supporting the Sprouting Up Program, which aims to build a healthier future for children in rural China. Employee volunteers brought energy and care to the event through thoughtfully-curated charity booths, filled with items from handmade accessories and books to stationary and gently used goods. We also made a corporate donation to the program. At the donation ceremony, representatives from LYB, Limin Fu, and Haleon, including @Yue Fu, reaffirmed our shared commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
