    Each year, our Macy’s and Bloomingdale's colleagues come together to make a meaningful impact through our annual "The Big Give Back" campaign, an initiative entirely driven by our people and their passion for service to each other and our communities. On August 12, team members from across the greater NYC area partnered with Henry Street Settlement for a volunteer day filled with connection, teamwork, and giving back. From pantry kit packing and organizing to supporting local programs, it was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together with purpose.

    Today, we’re pleased that we delivered better than expected second quarter sales and earnings results across Macy's, Inc. Enterprise-wide improvements made under our Bold New Chapter strategy are resonating with our customers. As a result, we raised and narrowed our net sales and adjusted diluted EPS guidance for the remainder of the year and are well positioned for the fall and holiday seasons. Key takeaways: Macy’s, Inc. and Macy's nameplate both delivered their strongest comparable sales growth in 12 quarters. Macy’s also achieved its strongest second quarter Net Promoter Score (NPS) on record, driven by our enhanced store shopping experience and compelling product assortment. Bloomingdale's saw a 5.7% comparable sales increase and achieved its highest-ever second quarter sales and NPS – a testament to our premium contemporary to luxury positioning and strong history of customer service. Bluemercury posted its 18th consecutive quarter of comparable sales growth, up 1.2%, fueled by dermatological skincare, recent brand launches and its aspirational to luxury positioning.
