    I wrapped up my Product Design & Development internship at Marchon Eyewear with a holistic understanding of what it takes to bring a creative vision to a frame on the shelf. This summer has been creatively fruitful and professionally rewarding, from collaborating with the internal design team, working with external suppliers/clients, and balancing creativity, storytelling, and production realities. Here’s a glimpse of my summer project: a performance frame created specifically for women’s basketball. The design sits at the intersection of sport and fashion, exploring how eyewear can elevate both performance and confidence. As I head into my senior year, I’m excited to keep pursuing a future of performance design that is not only faster or stronger, but also authentic and self-expressive. I could not be more grateful to the inspiring & uplifting design team for welcoming me into the world of eyewear design and sharing their vast pools of knowledge with me. Over five days, our account managers and brand teams showcased upcoming Fall releases from Marchon, Altair, and Allure, offering a first look at what’s ahead.   This year also marked the debut of the Trend Room, a new experience introduced during the event.
