Thank you to all the Maryland businesses who support the Maryland Department of Transportation’s mission to improve safety, maintain our system and drive economic growth. We had a great time at the World Trade Center Institute's State of the Ports event last night discussing big projects that will impact the ports. From working at breakneck speed to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge to the major projects wrapping up next year, such as BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport's new A/B Connector and baggage handling system and the Howard Street Tunnel project which will have a great impact on the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore. 2026 will be a banner year for transportation in Maryland!
A great turnout of more than 400 logistics and supply chain professionals for last night's World Trade Center Institute annual #StateofthePorts! The event featured a fireside chat with Maryland Department of Transportation Acting Secretary Samantha Biddle, AICP, Maryland Port Administration - Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore Executive Director Jonathan Daniels, and Maryland Aviation Administration BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport CEO Shannetta Griffin. Go Team Maryland!

Twenty Maryland Port Administration personnel graduated today from our first-ever Supervisory Training and Engagement Program taught by Carroll Community College where participants learned valuable leadership skills that can help them advance their careers. The program was designed to support both seasoned and emerging leaders, as well as employees who wish to grow into supervisory roles. Through seven dynamic sessions, participants learned tips, skills, tools and habits that today’s most successful leaders rely on. Organizational Development Program Administrator Donald Jones helped bring this course to life and Deputy Executive Director Robert Munroe presented the graduates with official certificates at the end. We value our employees and love to see them advance and succeed!
