Corporal Merkel from the #MSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division recently earned 2nd place at the North American Inspectors Championship (NAIC) in Minnesota. This is the second year in a row Cpl. Merkel has taken home 2nd place in this national category. His team also received the Team Award for the highest combined score. NAIC brings together the top inspectors from across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada for a week of advanced training and competition. Corporal Merkel represented Maryland after winning the state competition earlier this year—and once again proved his skill, earning 2nd Place in the Level I Inspection, the most comprehensive 37-step procedure assessing both driver and vehicle safety.
