  • Congratulations to Alaina Wertman Seitz, who was awarded the Commonwealth Certificate of Achievement at the 2025 Performance Recognition Award Ceremony! Alaina was nominated by Anu Goutham, who shared, “Alaina’s proactive approach has created a positive impact on our hiring success and organizational growth.”   Alaina began her career at MassDOT in 2014 in HRBI, focusing on collective bargaining, labor relations, and reporting. In 2018, after covering for a colleague on leave, she discovered her passion for Talent Acquisition and stayed in that position.  “I’m especially proud of our Campus Recruitment and intern/co-op programs. Bringing in early-career professionals and watching them grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of my job.” Her advice: stay curious- asking questions and learning new things has shaped my career. #PRP25 #Appreciation #MassDOT #Engagement

  • Greg Frazier, PMP delivers results through positivity, organization, and leadership, setting the standard for Project Managers at MassDOT,” shared Adam Kiel who nominated Greg for the Commonwealth Certificate of Achievement at the 2025 Performance Recognition Award Ceremony! Greg shared, “I have been with MassDOT for six years, beginning as a Civil Engineer III Project Manager and now serving as a Civil Engineer V Supervising Project Manager. In my role, I oversee 20–30 projects at a time, including bridge replacements, intersection and corridor improvements, and rail trail projects. Recently, I worked with a design team on an accelerated project to replace a storm-damaged culvert and resolve flooding issues impacting nearby homes, coordinating across multiple sections to reach a solution. I’m fortunate to work with an experienced team of Project Managers whose support and knowledge contribute to every project’s success. Outside of work, I enjoy carpentry, skiing, restoring my ’66 Mustang, and hiking with my wife and our two dogs.” Congratulations Greg! #PRP25 #Appreciation #MassDOT #Engagement

  • Spotlight Marylee Briand “I’ve worked at MassDOT for the past 7 years, beginning in the role of CSR I—now my current title is CSR II. The most joyous part of the job for me is helping customers with their transactions and fulfilling their needs, while also challenging myself and handling additional responsibilities.   My former manager, Wendy Randall, and my current manager, Cheyane Goodrich, have both inspired me. Cheyane’s positivity uplifts and encourages employees. At the end of the day, I am most proud of helping with difficult customers and handling challenging transactions that come in for services such as Real ID, Mass ID, permits, licenses, or vehicle registrations. It is always nice when a customer is satisfied with our services and shares their experience.    I love challenges. I compete with my family at Spartan races, enjoy hiking, and spending time with my family—these things mean a lot to me. My motto is: Be yourself; don’t take anything personally. I really enjoy working for the RMV and having the opportunity to work with people from all different backgrounds and languages. Every day I learn something new.”   #RMV #Spotlight #MassDOT #EmployeeAppreciation

  • “Alison Falk’s interpreter guide has improved fairness, consistency, and safety during road tests, creating lasting benefits for applicants, interpreters, and staff.” —Sara Lavoie  Congratulations to Alison Falk, who was awarded the Commonwealth Certificate of Achievement at the 2025 Performance Recognition Award Ceremony! “I’ve been with MassDOT for ten years, beginning as Director of Medical Affairs and now serving as Director of Alternative Access—a role focused on improving access for customers who need additional support. It’s been a rewarding journey as my colleagues and I have expanded language services and developed new products for customers, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.   Working with the Road Test Department presented a few “bumps” in the road, but we created a guide for interpreters that clearly outlines the testing process and safety expectations. With examiner feedback, we built a system that works for everyone.   Having worked in both the private and public sectors, I’ve learned that with an open mind, there are no limits to what you can accomplish.” #PRP25 #Appreciation #MassDOT #RMV
