In this role, you’ll directly support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and serve as a key liaison between the Corporate Finance, Business Affairs, and Operations departments. It combines traditional administrative duties with high-level financial coordination, data management, and analytical work that informs strategic and operational decisions across the studio. We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow within a creative, fast-paced environment. We are hiring! We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced, high-volume Business Affairs and Legal department where you will be supporting two Executives. This is a great opportunity for someone out of law school looking to gain experience in the entertainment industry. Primary Responsibilities The Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to the SVP and VP of Business Affairs and Legal. The successful candidate must have experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks and be able to work well in an environment of constantly changing priorities. Responsibilities include: · Maintain and manage calendars, email and contacts · Create, format, redline and revise correspondence and other written materials such as agreements, letters, memos and other legal documents · Distributes, files, and organizes internal and external agreements and correspondence · Handle daily administrative tasks including answering phones and relaying messages, updating call logs, scheduling internal and external appointments and meetings, maintaining daily schedules and calendars, and handling e-mail distributions and incoming and outgoing mail, handling visitor requests, updating contact information, and orders supplies. · Maintains tickler system for follow-up; updates entries of status of projects and deals in status reports. · Composes and generates letters, term sheets, and internal deal memos (using a data-based online program) · Liaises with internal departments and external entities as needed. · Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines · Adhere to sensitive timelines, deadlines and confidential materials · Prepare and submit expense reports · Submit and code invoices and work closely with accounting to prepare/process/track payments · Various ad hoc projects as needed Requirements · BA/BS degree required · Law school degree is a plus · Proficiency in MS Office Suite -- must be extremely knowledgeable with Outlook email/calendar/contacts in addition to Word and Excel · Minimum 2 years' experience supporting Business & Legal Affairs attorneys in a studio, network, or entertainment law firm environment is preferred · Production legal exposure a plus · Ability to understand and abstract various agreements and disseminate information accordingly · Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Pay Rate: $21-23/hr DOE. This position is classified as non-exempt.

The Vice President, Production Finance will play a key role in implementing and maintaining compliance with Media Res Studio’s Production Finance goals, including timely submissions of accurate financials, protecting company assets, and providing support to all on-location production accounting teams. The Vice President will directly support the SVP, Head of Production Finance on special ad-hoc projects on an as-needed basis and will be the lead point of contact on multiple projects in production. Responsibilities include: · Manage day-to-day production finance operations across all TV projects. · Collaborate on budgets to control costs and maximize tax incentives. · Support and oversee production accounting teams throughout the production lifecycle. · Review cost reports, cash flows, and financial statements for accuracy. · Ensure compliance with union rules, local laws, and studio accounting policies. · Handle production tax incentives, insurance claims, and residuals. · Provide guidance on GAAP compliance, studio reporting, and financial deliverables. · Support special projects and implement process improvements as needed. Compensation is $200k annually. We are located in Hollywood, CA and we are in-office Mon-Thurs, and Friday is a remote workday.
