Nature heals. Research has shown that spending time outdoors can reduce stress, boost mood and improve overall well-being. Metroparks and Mercy Health have teamed up to bring you Nature & Nurture: Breast Wellness Day. The event is Thursday, October 23. Come out to the Glass City Enrichment Center at Glass City Metropark to discover how time spent outdoors in your Metroparks can benefit your mind, body and overall wellness. There will be two guided walks one at 4 p.m. and the last one at 6 p.m., no reservations required. Our guest speaker, Dr. Shannon Hughes, director of education and programming for the Metroparks and a young survivor, highlighting the importance of early screening and spending time outdoors.
