As part of Mid-America’s Community Table Initiative, our Michigan team partnered with Higher Hopes! for their 1,000 Turkeys, 10,000 Smiles Thanksgiving event to help give back to our community. Higher Hopes! is a charitable foundation serving families across Metro Detroit with children enrolled in Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Programs (Early Head Start, Head Start, and Great Start Readiness). Their 1,000 Turkeys, 10,000 Smiles event provides families with a warm, joyful Thanksgiving meal — complete with desserts and treats — that can feed up to 12 people. Beyond their two annual holiday meal distributions (Labor Day and Thanksgiving), Higher Hopes! works year-round to deliver food to families in need throughout our community.
