Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM)

Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) have directed airlines nationwide to temporarily reduce flight schedules by 10% across 40 high-volume U.S. airports, effective 12:01 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025. This measure is intended to ease congestion and maintain safety across the national airspace system. While Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) is not directly impacted, many of our connecting hubs-including some of the nation's busiest airports-may experience adjustments or delays as a result. These ripple effects could influence some travelers departing from or arriving through MGM. If you have upcoming travel plans: Check directly with your airline (via app, website, email, or text) for the most up-to-date flight information. Monitor your flight status before arriving at the airport. Remember, the airport does not have access to passenger-specific flight details. MGM's airline partners include: American Airlines: AA.com Delta Air Lines: Delta.com MGM Airport and its staff remain fully operational, and we are closely monitoring the situation. We are deeply grateful for our TSA officers, FAA personnel, and air traffic control teams who continue working to keep travelers safe and flights moving during this challenging time. Meet Evan, the Blount County Juvenile Facility Dog. He is available to support juveniles who face difficult situations while at the court house. Evan and his handler are always there to support youth and provide a source of comfort. Today was a chance to come out and get re-certified as a Facility Dog for another year.
