MRG’s Provider Spotlight is shining on Keisha Svitak, a valued member of our Norfolk, NE team since 2022!   Keisha admires the resilience of our Veterans and enjoys using her 15 years of nursing experience to assist in the claims process. To manage her time effectively, she organizes medical records by medical opinion sections before each exam.   Outside of work, Keisha enjoys recharging on the many walking and jogging trails in her town. She also loves spending time with her family at the park or catching a movie together.   Keisha’s top tip for completing DBQs efficiently is to evaluate prior diagnostics and confirmed diagnoses in advance and chart in real time while the Veteran is in the room. She shares that strong communication skills – keeping the Veteran on topic while assuring them they’re being heard – help her excel in her role.   Thank you, Keisha, for your dedication to serving our Veterans!

MRG's Provider Spotlight is shining on Jacy Thayer! Jacy has been a dedicated member of the MRG team in Altoona, PA for the past year. Transitioning to this role after nearly a decade in an inpatient surgical unit was a significant career shift for Jacy – one that taught her the critical value of patience. Serving the Veteran population has been deeply rewarding for her, as each Veteran brings a unique and compelling service story.   To recharge, Jacy has taken up running, which she finds to be a great way to unwind while listening to audiobooks – a passion that began after she completed her first half-marathon.   When it comes to staying organized and efficient, Jacy has found that pre-charting is her most effective strategy for completing DBQs. In fact, she views organization as a cornerstone of success in this role, enabling her to manage appointments and charting responsibilities with confidence and clarity.   A quote that continues to inspire Jacy in this work is: "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."

MRG's Provider Spotlight is shining on Dawn Moore! Dawn Moore is an Audiologist who has worked in our Las Vegas, NV office for almost 4 years. Dawn is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Veteran community, and she is always impressed by the Veterans’ unwavering commitment to integrity, teamwork, and valor. These qualities, deeply ingrained from their military service, create an inspiring work environment. When it comes to Dawn’s key tips for new Audiologists, she emphasizes the importance of time efficiency and thorough preparation, which allows her to complete exams on the same day.   Outside of work, Dawn enjoys spending quality time with her dogs, cherishing moments with family, and traveling to new, adventurous destinations. MRG's Provider Spotlight is shining on David Howard! Dr. David Howard has worked with MRG Exams as a Clinical Psychologist for over 6 years. Dr. Howard works across several clinic locations: West Point, MS; Oxford, MS; and Chattanooga, TN. Dr. Howard’s favorite aspect of this job is working with the Veterans who have bravely served our Nation. A primary focus for Dr. Howard is ensuring that every Veteran feels heard and understood, as they all have diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Dr. Howard enjoys the work-life balance achieved in his role with MRG, allowing him to spend time with family and loved ones. In additional free time, he also enjoys rowing on the Tennessee River! MRG's Provider Spotlight is shining on Alexandra Clark from our Rochester, NY, office! After starting her career in surgical oncology, Alex joined the team in Rochester in 2023, and she has thoroughly enjoyed working with the Veteran community. Alex has learned that Veterans’ physical disabilities have a significant emotional impact, so listening, empathizing, and validating their experiences help to create positive experiences during the exams. To recharge, she enjoys skiing, mountain biking, reading, boating, and singing. The work-life balance she has achieved in the role with MRG has given her more time for all these hobbies!
