November is National Diabetes Awareness Month 🩸 This month, we recognize the strength and resilience of those impacted by diabetes—patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals alike. This disease affects millions and calls for awareness, action, and community-driven solutions. In the U.S., 1 in 6 Hispanic/Latino adults has type 2 diabetes, nearly twice the rate of non-Hispanic whites. These numbers reflect stories of perseverance and highlight the need for culturally responsive approaches to care. Let’s take action by sharing knowledge, encouraging regular screenings, and promoting healthy habits that can help prevent and manage diabetes. Together, we can build healthier futures for our communities. #DiabetesAwarenessMonth #HealthEquity #LatinoHealth #RepresentationMatters #PreventiveCare #NationalAssociationofLatinoHealthcareExecutives
