In 2001, with the support of the NANA Board of Directors and Maniilaq Association, the Regional Elders Council hosted an Elders Conference in Kotzebue. This gathering gave our Elders the opportunity to share their wisdom and lessons passed down through generations. Today, we are proud to share timeless advice collected during that gathering in a series we are calling What the Elders Say. While the exact dates of the included photos and quotes may be unknown, the guidance they provide resonates deeply and continues to shape how we live today.
