Kneva, an all-female team, wins the #DevDays HealthTech Challenge!
Developed by ULM Computer Science students Sian Rose Vincent, Yukta Karki, and Nirjara KC, Kneva is designed specifically for the physiology of female athletes, who experience ACL injuries at eight times the rate of male athletes.
It brings together two powerful data streams, hormonal insights to predict periods of elevated injury risk and biomechanical movement data from a wearable knee sensor that delivers real-time, micro-adjusted training feedback. The result, a personalized, adaptive system that helps athletes train smarter, perform safely, and prevent injuries before they happen.
In partnership with Ochsner Health, this challenge proves happens when we give young people real problems to solve and the room to innovate boldly.
