Superstars wanted: Join us in putting smiles on the faces of millions around the world!

About us

Nintendo's mission is to put smiles on the faces of everyone we touch. We do so by creating new surprises for people across the world to enjoy together. We've forged our own path since 1889, when we began making hanafuda playing cards in Kyoto, Japan. Today, we’re fortunate to be able to share our characters, ideas and worlds through the medium of video games and the entertainment industry. Nintendo of America, established in 1980 and based in Redmond, Washington, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo Co., Ltd. We are committed to delivering best-in-class products and services to our customers and to investing in the well-being of our employees as part of the global Nintendo family. Yesterday, we celebrated the grand opening of Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, our second official store in the United States. This milestone coincides with the anniversary of our Nintendo NEW YORK store, where we’ve been bringing smiles to guests of all ages near and far for 20 years. Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO offers an immersive shopping experience designed to deliver smiles to visitors from all over. In addition to game systems and games, store visitors can discover exclusive products including accessories, apparel, and home goods. More than just a store, Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO is a fun place to explore—whether you are local or visiting the area. Nintendo of America President and Chief Operating Officer Doug Bowser led the ribbon cutting ceremony, where he was joined by San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and, of course, Mario.
