Last month, our incredible ambulance team came together to host a blood drive at our Brooklyn Center garage - showing just how powerful community can be when we unite for a cause. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we collected 36 units of blood, offering life-saving support to those who need it most. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and made this event a success. Your kindness truly makes a difference!

Congratulations to our recently graduated cohorts of summer nurse interns! 🎉These teams have had the opportunity to provide hands-on care in a hospital setting, collaborating with North Memorial Health nurse mentors on their units to assess the needs of patients and work alongside team members. We look forward to seeing the amazing things these future nurses will do!

Over the past couple of weeks, team members from across our system came together at Second Harvest Heartland to help package food for those in need as a way to increase food stability in our area. It was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we rally together towards a common goal — supporting our community. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference! ❤️

After 18 years of caring for others as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine nurse at North, Shawn found herself on the other side of the care experience when she was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and became a patient. What followed was a journey through unexpected health challenges - and a powerful reminder of the compassion, teamwork, and humanity that define our teams. From her first visit with a new primary care provider to colleagues who showed support every step of the way and the Heart & Vascular team who listened to each concern, Shawn’s story is a testament to what makes North Memorial Health special - and today, she’s healthy, grateful, and prouder than ever to call this place home.

The care that happens in the days and weeks following a stroke makes a critical difference in a patient's recovery - which is why our rehabilitation team at North - Robbinsdale Hospital is proud to partner with the American Heart Association in their Lifeline Stroke post-acute care initiative. Participation in this program requires North Memorial Health to meet certain criteria while gaining access to resources that expand patient and community education as well as additional training opportunities for nurses and staff. Work like this has helped to drive our recent CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) re-accreditation as we are able to bring the latest developments and innovations to our patients, giving them the highest level of care.
