Today, on our official anniversary—and fittingly, on National Cookie Day—we’re celebrating the partnerships and trust that have shaped our last 35 years. To mark the occasion, all Northrim branches will have complimentary cookies available today. It’s a small thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to 35 years of service, growth and community—and to all the opportunities still ahead.

Northrim opened its doors almost 35 years ago in a small trailer on C St. with 21 employees and a big vision: to bring relationship-based banking to Alaskans. By the next spring, we’d moved into our Midtown Financial Center and became Alaska’s first bank to offer Telebanking and PC Banking. Today, that same mission—to support Alaska’s people, businesses and communities through our Superior Customer First Service.

Northrim was proud to sponsor and attend the 2024 Top 49ers Luncheon, where we ranked 27th among Alaska’s highest-grossing, Alaska-based companies—up from 31st last year. It was a great opportunity to connect with fellow businesses and celebrate the strength of locally founded companies.
Last Friday, Alaska Business proudly unveiled the 2025 Top 49ers at the Dena’ina Civic Convention Center! For 40 years, the Top 49ers list has recognized Alaska’s largest locally owned businesses ranked by gross revenue. Congratulations to this year’s honorees—we’re proud to celebrate your impact on Alaska’s economy! Thank you to Judy Patrick Photography for capturing the event and to our generous sponsors for making it possible: Alaska Airlines, Aleut, Providence Imaging Center, NANA, Marsh McLennan Agency, Verizon Business, Northrim Bank, Member FDIC, Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC), The Systemcenter, Inc., and PNC. *To view the entire album of photos, please head over to our Facebook page. #Top49ers2025 #AlaskaBusiness #Alaska #Top49ers
