We have teamed up with Burando Energies and World Fuel Services to supply sustainable marine fuels during our port stays in the Netherlands for the 2025 European season. Six vessels in the NCLH fleet, including Norwegian Prima, will receive a 30% blend of ISCC-certified, waste-based biodiesel, cutting GHG emissions while remaining fully compatible with existing engines. This milestone supports our Sail & Sustain™ sustainability program and demonstrates the power of collaboration in driving real progress toward a lower-emissions future for cruising. These amazing leaders had the opportunity to join travel and hospitality executives to discuss industry trends, attend coaching and development sessions, and network with this incredible community. So proud of our very own Katty Byrd, who served on a discussion panel with industry leaders and was honored as a 2025 Top Woman in Travel & Hospitality. She exudes #PeopleExcellence and is an inspiration to all. Sail & Sustain Week was a powerful reminder that meaningful change begins with action. In celebration of #WorldEnvironmentDay and #WorldOceansDay, our team came together to engage in hands-on, sustainability-focused initiatives. Here’s a look at what we accomplished: 🌍 41 team members signed up to volunteer with South Florida Red Cross - the highest number from any company in the region! 🌍 Hosted 6 Red Cross classes, equipping our teams with life-saving emergency skills. 🌍 Assembled 500 hygiene kits to support families sheltering during a natural disaster. 🌍 Co-sponsored the 2025 International Ocean Film Festival, hosted by the Guy Harvey Foundation and Nova Southeastern University, to promote marine science education. 🌍 Nearly 30 team members joined BLUE Missions for a citizen science boat tour and clean-up in Biscayne Bay, where they collected samples, tested water, and performed a beach cleanup. Enthusiasm was so strong that another group of 30 is joining a second outing this Friday. We also unveiled the 2024 Sail & Sustain Report, capturing the progress and impact of our global sustainability efforts. As a core element of our #ChartingtheCourse strategy, this program informs our decisions and helps ensure we create lasting, positive impact for both the environment and the communities we serve. Bringing the Sail & Sustain vision to life takes collective effort, and we’re deeply grateful for our team’s commitment. At the helm of this progress is our exceptional Sustainability Team, whose leadership and hard work made both this impactful week and the 2024 report possible.
