Novonesis honored among 'champions of circular revolution' in India 🌱 Recently, our colleagues were proud to receive a sustainability award at a ceremony in New Delhi, India. It was part of the ET Edge Global Sustainability Alliance (GSA) Transformation Series conference where organizations driving circular transformation were celebrated. Our approach to circularity is powered by biosolutions, using the tiny but mighty change agents of biology, like enzymes and microbes, to rethink how resources are used. Biosolutions help us convert existing resources into new materials, close resource loops and build a truly circular economy. 🙌 The recognition also acknowledged our commitment towards uplifting rural communities by improving water security and strengthening STEM education to positively impact lives, livelihoods and landscapes. One example of this effort is our NOWO (Novonesis Water Opulence) project in Patalganga (Maharashtra, India). Facing severe water scarcity issues due to seasonal runoff, our team implemented a comprehensive water conservation strategy, including check dams and recharge trenches. Since 2020, this initiative has recharged 14.5 billion liters of water back into the ground, secured water access for over 3,000 people and improved local biodiversity while empowering the community to cultivate land and strengthen livelihoods. This award is a testament to the efforts of our colleagues who work to embed sustainability into everything we do. "The solutions we need already exist, and they lie in biology."   In this video, Linda Bedenik from BioIndustry Association (BIA) in the UK, shares her thoughts on the role of biosolutions to address some of the world's most pressing challenges and create sustainable growth:     "Global leaders need to realize that the solutions we need already exist, they lie in biology and are ready to scale and to be adopted. We need global leaders to embrace disruptiveness because that's what it is about to create a slightly different system deeply based in biology, interlinked with nature.
