I’m really proud of this one. CISA just released its new guidance, Principles for the Secure Integration of AI in Operational Technology, and on page 22 you’ll find a small acknowledgment of something that means a lot to me and the team: we were able to contribute to it. AI in OT isn’t theoretical anymore — it’s already reshaping how critical infrastructure operates. And while there’s huge potential, there are also real risks if we don’t ground these systems in safety, transparency, and solid engineering discipline. That’s why this guidance matters. It gives owners and operators a practical way to think about AI in environments where uptime, reliability, and human safety aren’t negotiable. For me, being part of this work is a reminder of why I love this field: OT security sits at the intersection of public safety, national resilience, and real-world engineering.
