Partnerships with technology producers, project executers, and end users play a critical role in accelerating safe and sustainable zinc battery technology, an energy storage industry which has reached a significant milestone of one billion dollars in combined private and public investment, Emily Dickens of Octet Scientific, Inc. told participants at the 2026 Zinc Metal Roundtable in Nashville. Along with the growth outlook for zinc batteries, conference attendees heard presentations on the outlook for zinc coatings from Kevin Irving and die casting from Ryan Winter of Eastern Alloys. The International Zinc Association's Technology & Market Development Director Martin van Leeuwen and Environment, Health & Sustainability Director Eric Van Genderen provided overviews of their respective programs. Derek He of ISKY Chemicals Co., Ltd. offered insights into the zinc chemical market in China, while the American Galvanizers Association's Emmanuel A. Ramírez G. described new inroads for galvanizing in Latin America.
