Leadership is evolving, and our Technologists in Residency Program (TRP) is built for it. More companies are embracing fractional leadership—tapping senior execs for strategic, project-based work without the full-time commitment or cost. Why it works: – C-level brains, not C-level bills. Get top-tier expertise without the overhead. – Scale as you go. Need a CIO to lead a cloud migration or a CISO to design your security roadmap? Bring them in when you need them and pivot when priorities shift. TRP flexes with your business. Whether it’s short-term consulting or full-time executive leadership, you get access to vetted, senior tech talent, on your terms. Technology consulting and talent with a humanistic approach. We’re a woman-owned and women-led family business.
About us
Welcome to On-Demand Group. We’re a tech consulting and talent partner that’s built on one simple belief: keep it human. What's that mean? Well, we go beyond filling roles. We build teams, we create lasting partnerships and we help clients move forward with the right people and solutions to drive real impact. For more than 30 years, organizations have trusted us not only for our expertise, but for how we show up—with intention, care, and a commitment to doing things the right way. We’re often told we’re different: we listen more closely, dig deeper, and genuinely care. Rooted in Midwest values and guided by a hospitality mindset, ODG is a proud woman-owned and led business. At ODG, business is personal, and that’s exactly how we like it. Everyone’s welcome, valued, and supported here. We take the time to listen and adapt, because we know the best solutions come from truly understanding people as much as the tech they’re using. From senior-level IT consulting, contract-to-hire, and direct hire needs, to nearshore consulting in LATAM and offshore consulting in the Philippines, we bring the global talent and tech consulting power. If you’re looking for a partner who brings technical excellence with a human-centered approach—welcome to ODG. Let’s make great things happen together. If this old school tech gives you early-career flashbacks, it’s probably time to let go of the old school attitudes you may have picked up along the way. Some of them still hold up. Others? Not so much. Here are a few that might be due for an update: Switching jobs means you're not loyal The reality: Staying in one place doesn't always mean growth. Moving strategically shows you're investing in your own development. 9 to 5 is the only way to work The reality: Flexibility isn't a perk anymore—it's how work gets done. Results matter more than hours logged. Keep your head down and your work will speak for itself The reality: Visibility matters. If no one knows what you're working on, your impact is invisible. Job security comes from one long-term employer The reality: Security comes from adaptability and skills that travel with you, not a single company. The workplace has changed. The way we think about work should too. #WorkplaceCulture #CareerAdvice #TechConsulting

Last week our ODG team had the privilege of cooking for roughly 50 guests staying at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Minneapolis, a free home away from home for individuals undergoing cancer treatment and their caregivers. In just 45 minutes of kitchen tornado activity, the team pulled together a soup flight and sandwiches for the group and the gratitude (and help in the kitchen!) we received was overwhelming. The residents couldn’t have been kinder or more appreciative, and our team couldn’t have been prouder to serve. Can’t wait to do it again! #TeamODG #FeelsGoodToDoGood

November: when everyone's winding down and you're quietly planning to crush Q1. Before the year ends, ask yourself these three questions: 1. Where did we feel understaffed this year? Look back at the projects that stalled or stretched your team too thin. Those are your clues for where you'll need support in 2026. 2. What roles will we need filled in Q1, and how long will it take to find the right people? Hiring (or finding the right consultants) takes time. Waiting to start looking until Q1 means you may not find anyone until Q2. 3. Do we have the flexibility to scale as our priorities shift? The best resource plans aren't rigid. Build room in your schedules to adapt without scrambling. A little planning now saves a lot of stress later. And if you need a partner to help you think through your talent strategy, that's exactly what we're here for. #ResourcePlanning #TechStaffing #WorkforcePlanning

Networking is vital for any consultant, but if you consider yourself an introvert, it can feel like an unscalable mountain. Here are a few tips to help introverts make important connections without a ton of stress (extroverts, stick around—these tips will help you level up your networking game too!) 1 . Ask for introductions Don’t feel like you need to walk into a large event and chat to every attendee. Find an event organizer or panel moderator, introduce yourself, and recruit them to help! To be extra effective, be open about your talents and specific goals, then ask their advice. Who do they think you should meet? Would they mind making that introduction? 2. Switch from “prevention” to “promotion” There are two types of networking scenarios: prevention and promotion. Those in the prevention camp focus on getting through unscathed with as little awkwardness as possible. Those who focus on promotion have a goal in mind and aim to get a win. Set yourself a goal (such as: I’ll talk to three new people today) and remind yourself of your past successes. Remember that confidence is a skill you build up, not an innate talent. 3. Connect online & one-on-one Big events aren’t your only opportunity to connect. Chat with people you already know on professional social networks (like LinkedIn!), and look for others in your field to strike up online conversations with. If anyone’s local, ask them to meet for a coffee and chat to get to know them individually, instead of engaging a whole group. 4. Honor the way you recharge Introverts do their best recharging alone, so before an event, make sure you’ve planned enough time to mentally get ready the way that works best for you, and give yourself recovery time after the event as well. Set time aside to make sure you’re prepared to be your best self, and time to appreciate your hard work when you’re done.
