Since our beginning, Paragonix has helped transport donor organs over 4,911,400 total miles - the equivalent of nearly 200 trips around the Earth. Every transport was tracked and monitored end-to-end in the Paragonix App, providing real-time visibility and confidence for transplant teams when it matters most. This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to go above and beyond in our mission to deliver every possible advantage, and we're excited to break even more ground this year. Onwards and upwards! 🚀

The year begins with a tale from The New York Times of the smallest of hearts, and the largest of hopes, featuring 6-month old heart recipient Luna and the incredible transplant team of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital who made her transplant possible. Her donor heart was flown into New Jersey by private jet and rushed to Manhattan with a police escort, arriving at NewYork-Presbyterian in a SherpaPak System that protected the precious gift on it's journey to Luna. Today marks a major milestone in lung transplantation. We are proud to announce Europe’s first-in-human use of the BAROguard System, performed by the transplant team at UZ Leuven in Belgium. “The ability to automatically maintain optimal inflation pressures throughout air transport represents an important step forward in helping us protect fragile donor lungs and maintain optimal outcomes for our lung transplant patients,” said Prof. Laurens Ceulemans. We are grateful to the team of University Hospitals Leuven for their leadership and collaboration as we continue to expand access to next-generation preservation technologies across Europe. We had the immense honor to share the stage at the 2025 Forbes Healthcare Summit with transplant leaders of eGenesis, Inc. and LyGenesis, Michael Curtis and Michael Hufford. The conversation wasn’t just about where we are today, but where we’re headed. We explored how advances in technology, patient care, and healthcare systems can transform the transplant journey for millions. It’s clear that we’re on the brink of something that could reshape how we think about organ donation and transplant care. This isn’t just about refining systems; it’s about creating a sustainable future. It’s about giving patients not just a chance to survive, but a chance to thrive. It was a privilege to have Lisa Anderson represent Paragonix and Getinge in this important dialogue. Looking forward to seeing how these ideas continue to evolve.
