The Parish of Caddo has been selected as one of 60 recipients of the 2024-25 Keep Louisiana Beautiful Trash Receptacle Grant Program. This award is made possible with funding from the State of Louisiana and Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Through the 20224 Trash Receptacle Grant Program, Keep Louisiana Beautiful has awarded 285 receptacles to 60 organizations in 37 parishes. “Litter continues to be a problem across our entire parish,” said Parish Administrator and CEO Erica R. Bryant. “Thanks to Keep Louisiana Beautiful, the trash receptacles will help reduce litter and keep our community clean and beautiful,” said Bryant. As part of grant requirements, Caddo Parish will perform a post installation litter scan and compare the data collected to preliminary scan results. Data will be shared with the public once available. Receptacles will be placed in the following Parish park locations: Earl G. Williamson Park, 11425 LA Hwy. 1 Oil City, LA 71061 P.B.S Pinchback Park,7903 Jefferson Paige Rd, Shreveport, LA 71119 Eddie D. Parish officials met with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office of Homeland Security, City of Shreveport Government, Caddo Parish Public Schools and a host of other agencies and organizations to discuss winter weather preparations. The Unified Command Group assembles and meets to prepare and plan for a variety of weather events and emergencies.
