They rocked out in Ozzy’s honor, celebrated his life, and raised over $17,900 to support people living with Parkinson’s disease — a cause Ozzy cared so deeply about. What happened in that room was more than a concert. It was community. It was love. The Parkinson's Foundation’s annual Moving Day Walk drew hundreds of participants to Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in a powerful display of community support for those living with #Parkinson’s disease. Over 350 community members participated in the event, raising $100,000. The funds raised will support the Parkinson’s Foundation’s mission to make life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. At the heart of the day's inspiration was Harry Zouros, a 52-year-old Hicksville resident who led a contingent of more than 40 friends and supporters through the 1-mile walk. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020, Zouros has maintained an extraordinary fitness regimen, training six days a week and refusing to let his diagnosis define his limits. Client, local business leader and author Robert Esposito, who served as MC for the event, stood beside Zouros during the opening ceremony to underscore the vital role of community awareness and support in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
