Innovation Next+ Achieves Landmark Modular Delivery for DFW Terminal F Expansion Six massive, prefabricated modules — the largest ever for an airport terminal — have been delivered and set in place for the first phase of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal F Expansion. Over 12 days, each module — with the largest measuring 278 feet long by 136 feet wide and weighing 3,320 tons — was carefully moved more than 1/2 mile down one of DFW’s taxiways using Mammoet Self-Propelled Modular Transporters. This highly choreographed process showcased engineering excellence and logistical expertise. The structures were then placed onto the foundations at the Terminal F site, where the design-build team will advance to the next stage of construction. In just 9 months from groundbreaking, this historic modular operation has demonstrated how speed, precision, and collaboration can redefine large-scale aviation projects. PGAL is proud to partner with The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western, Turner Construction Company, Phillips May Corporation, H. J. Russell & Company, CARCON Industries & Construction, Gensler, GFT, and Rogers DeSimone Structural Engineers, LLC (FKA: Henderson Rogers Structural Engineers) to bring this bold vision to life. Last week, Delray Beach Fire Station 113 officially opened with a celebration rooted in firefighting tradition. Firefighters marked the occasion by ringing the ceremonial bell, uncoupling the hose, and “pushing” the fire truck into the bay - an homage to the hand-pulled rigs of the 1800s.
