Earlier this month, we welcomed a group of vet students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for a day of hands-on learning. The day began on the farm with a visual demonstration before returning to our Columbus Office for a follow-up Q&A with our team. Thank you to everyone who worked to make this day possible!

At Pillen Family Farms, we’re committed to supporting our team members and the communities they live in. Last week, our Columbus Office came together for a friendly competition to support a local food pantry. Together, we donated 2,500 pounds of pork and collected over 1,800 non-perishable food items. A huge thank you to everyone who participated — your generosity and teamwork make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.

On this Veterans Day, we proudly recognize the heroes among us—our coworkers, family members, and friends—who have worn the uniform in service to our country. Your courage and sacrifice make a difference every day.

Reynaldo has been a part of our team since 2012 and epitomizes the words "Treat others the way you want to be Treated.” No matter the situation, Rey always has a smile on his face, and takes on every day with a “let's get it done” attitude. Rey leads by example, putting the needs of others before himself and taking care of the pigs and his Team Members to the best of his ability.
