Ever since he was a toddler, Owen Griffith, 12, has wanted to be a police officer. But since he was a newborn, Owen has dealt with epileptic seizures, which have affected his mental capacity and now threaten the longevity of his life. "He always wanted to be an officer even before he knew what they were, but it will probably never be a reality for him," said his mother, Jamie Griffith Indiana Wish and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department partnered to make Owen's dream a reality. It was the first time a child had ever asked Indiana Wish to make them into a police officer. On Oct. 24, Griffith walked through the halls of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department headquarters and was greeted by over a dozen fellow officers.
