The fourth cohort of the Minas em Tech program, led by Casa Hacker, has completed its journey. Since 2022, we have supported this initiative, which has provided nearly 80 students with access to learning in technology, robotics, programming, design, 3D modeling and AI. This year’s class demonstrated how meaningful opportunities can help unlock new possibilities for students. During the graduation event, participants presented projects developed to address real community challenges, including a sustainable shelter concept for people experiencing homelessness, an intelligent storm drain to reduce flooding risks, a robot to assist with waste sorting and a prototype designed to help protect environmental preservation areas. How do you bring a color story to life for consumers in a meaningful, everyday way? One of our paint brands in the Netherlands, Histor paint by PPG, launched a new campaign “Color Your Story,” through a vibrant pop-up experience at Utrecht Centraal train station. At the heart of the activation was the AI-powered Histor MY Color Creator, helping travelers discover their own personal color in just a few questions. They even took home a customized paint can with their name on it. For three days, the station transformed into an immersive, hands-on color experience that highlighted our leadership in color innovation. Interior influencers also shared the inspiration behind their own personalized shades, further demonstrating how color can capture personality, mood and style. Earlier this year, we awarded the first round of Colorful Communities® celebration grants to mark the program’s 10-year milestone. We’re building on a decade of impact by deepening our support for past and current partners around the world. From Very Special Kids in Australia to Bangplee Health Promotion Hospital in Thailand, 10 celebration grants were distributed across the Asia Pacific region, including China, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Australia and Vietnam. Serving local families in need, our employee volunteers teamed up with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to give back and support the work this organization does to distribute more than 1 million pounds of food in just one week. From Japan to Australia and Singapore, our Colorful Communities® program has reached far and wide in the Asia Pacific region after kicking off in 2015 at the Nansha Primary School in Zhangjiagang, China. Over a decade, PPG employee volunteers completed several projects at the school, hosted workshops for students, donated supplies and formed a partnership for a lasting impact on the education and lives of students. “Ten years ago volunteers from PPG arrived. They not only gave our campus a fresh, vibrant new look, but they also painted the colors of childhood into the children’s hearts,” said Shiqiang Min, former principal and party secretary, Nasha Primary School.
