A gravity-defying monolithic stair, this post-tensioned stone structure merges timeless material with advanced engineering. Each tread, precision-machined and hand-finished, becomes both sculpture and structure—creating the illusion of a ribbon of stone floating through space. This is the first post-tensioned stone staircase in the U.S. made with domestic marble from Vermont. A massive block of Arabescato Corchia was transformed into a cubic vanity with integrated sinks by our team of stone artisans. We combine millennia-old techniques with cutting-edge technologies to realize anything that can be imagined in stone. The material speaks for itself—but our role was to elevate it, ensuring the stone not only enhanced the space but became integral to its identity. Part of our mission is to support artists by giving them access to a full range of tools and resources at our facility. Here, one of our 7-axis robots has carved the initial form of a digitally scanned clay bust by sculptor Candice Spry. Various diamond-covered blades and tools slowly revealed the shape with each pass. Now, Candice will bring the final piece to life by hand, where every detail and intention will emerge with human touch.

The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is home to a truly unique and compelling work: Utopia by Jaume Plensa. Four floor-to-ceiling portraits of women from around the world were carved from Vietnamese Blanc Absolute marble — nearly 400 panels in total, weighing up to 9,000 pounds and reaching thicknesses of up to 27 inches. In the words of the artist: “Utopia is our human landscape, a space to embrace humanity and our collective dreams.” The creation of this work was itself a global journey, uniting firms from across the world, each contributing their mastery to a project that embodies connection and shared humanity. The Palm Beach estate remains one of our standout projects — a true testament to our craft. Designed by Stonefox Architects, this extraordinary beachfront property blends classic Floridian architecture with modern design. Our team installed Santenoy Limestone throughout the exterior, including four 29-foot clad columns framing the rear exit to the pool. Built with an entasis design, these tapered, elliptical forms evoke the timeless grandeur of a villa while embracing a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. Every detail — from the precision of the limestone cladding to the refined proportions — gives these columns a commanding presence, balancing structural integrity with sculptural beauty. Bold stones create bold designs—both visually and in fabrication. We use high-definition photography to digitally render each space before any slab of stone is ever cut. This ensures that every detail is thoughtfully orchestrated ahead of installation. This Dover White marble was given a hydro-finish in our studio, adding texture and even more visual interest to this lovely powder room. #CustomStoneInstallation
