We are truly grateful for the opportunity to share Thanksgiving with our communities this year! In Española, we partnered with Northern New Mexico College to distribute Thanksgiving meal bags, while our mobile health center provided essential health screenings for community members. In Roswell, we collaborated with Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the Department of Health to distribute meal bags aimed at combating food insecurity. These bags ensured that many families had the supplies they needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, and the Department of Health was on-site offering flu vaccinations. And in Albuquerque, our Presbyterian Health Plan Place (HPP) shared meal bags with both HPP members and community members, ensuring everyone had what they needed for a delightful Thanksgiving celebration. We’re excited to welcome Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine students back to Plains Regional Medical Center! Parikshit Thakur Hameer MD, FASN, FNKF and his team are committed to providing future Clovis physicians valuable hands-on experience and increasing access to quality care in underserved areas.

We are excited to announce the completion of the new hybrid operating room (OR) at Presbyterian Hospital. This new space combines imaging and operating technology in one space, including both minimally invasive and open surgical capabilities. Patients don’t need to be moved during procedures, and care teams have everything they need in one room. The hybrid OR supports advanced neuro and heart/vascular care, so patients can get the care they need—here in New Mexico—for treatment of stroke, aneurysms, blocked carotid arteries, and other complex surgical issues. Philanthropy—thanks to our generous donors—totaled $1.5 million, about one-third the cost of the $4.5 million project. #BecauseYouGive

Today, we celebrated an incredible group of Presbyterian employees who balanced work, school, clinicals, family life—and supported each other every step of the way—to achieve their dream of becoming nurses. This Presbyterian Nursing Career Pathways cohort showed what resilience, teamwork and heart look like. Their families, friends, coworkers, mentors and classmates lifted them up through long nights, tough exams and early-morning clinicals. And today, they crossed the finish line together.
