Dear whoever is in charge at LinkedIn, The number of fake profiles on here is out of control. I’m not talking about someone with no profile photo. I mean fake recruiters, commenting on legitimate job posts, pretending to work for real companies, and preying on job seekers who are just trying to find their next opportunity. They look real enough to fool someone who’s stressed, tired, and doing everything they can to get hired. And unfortunately, it’s working. I report every fake profile I come across. But lately, I’ve spent more time deleting scammer comments from my own posts than actually engaging with the real people I’m here to help. This platform is supposed to support professionals. Right now, it’s enabling scammers. Maybe it’s time to require ID verification for accounts claiming to represent companies. Or at the very least, pay closer attention to patterns that real users flag. People are getting hurt- emotionally and financially. This isn’t harmless noise. And it’s making it harder for the rest of us to do honest work. I know I’m not the only one seeing this. And I know I’m not the only one frustrated by it.
