    AI has raised the bar for entry-level talent. Many talent leaders are heading into difficult conversations with their CFOs. Budgets are tighter, headcount targets are smaller, and it’s tempting to question whether junior hires are still worth it when AI is automating so much of the “starter” work. But cutting back on emerging talent would be a big mistake. Recent grads are some of the fastest adopters of AI tools. When those skills are paired with adaptability, communication, and initiative, they aren’t just “entry-level” anymore, they’re AI-skilled generalists who can amplify impact well beyond their title. In fact, one AI-empowered entry-level hire can produce the output that once required a far more senior, and far more expensive, employee. The challenge is that most hiring processes haven’t caught up. Résumés and static requirements don’t capture the adaptability, initiative, and AI fluency that now matter most. Three years ago, I joined RippleMatch because I believed in its mission of expanding access to opportunity for emerging talent. I saw a product that could truly transform how hiring works and was inspired by a team whose talent and heart made me believe we could truly change the game. That belief has only grown stronger. The hiring landscape is changing faster than ever. The rise of AI is reshaping the workforce, making it harder for emerging talent to break in as employers raise the bar for skills and job readiness and applicant noise on traditional hiring platforms continues to rise.
