In 1973, the U.S. Congress designated August 26th as “Women’s Equality Day” to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. This was the culmination of a massive 70+ year-long civil rights movement by women to achieve equal participation in democracy. The observance of Women’s Equality Day not only commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, but also calls attention to women’s continuing efforts toward full equality on a national scale even today. The RV Women’s Alliance was founded by a group of incredible women (and men!) to help make the RV Industry a more equitable place for women to thrive through education, networking, and mentorship.
