Today is the International Day of Charity! So we bring you a story of hometown community service. The Lerner Theatre was alive with excitement Thursday night as Bashor Children's Home hosted its 10th Annual Running with Spoons fundraising event, according to a release. The evening brought together community leaders, local businesses and former Notre Dame football stars for a spirited celebrity chef cook-off — all to raise support for Bashor’s new emergency shelter, scheduled to open in 2026. The need for this new shelter is urgent, officials noted. Demand for safe, immediate housing for children has grown far beyond the capacity of Bashor’s current emergency shelter facility. When children in crisis seek help through programs marked with the Safe Place sign across the community, it is Bashor who answers the call. The Golden Spoon Award, the evening’s top honor, went to brothers Reid Gawthrop and Rod Gawthrop representing Forest River, Inc.® and Alpha, after an exciting head-to-head culinary competition. Guests enjoyed sampling dishes, voting for their favorites, and supporting Bashor’s mission. #RVIndustry #RVBusiness #RVB #Elkhart #BashorChildrensHome

Go RVing knows a thing or two about having fun. They continue that trend with their newest campaign. Just in time for football season, the group is showing off their Ultimate RV Tailgate. 🏈 It's supported by four experiential marketing pop-ups at college football games across the country to inspire and incentivize U.S. travelers and tailgaters to bring the comforts of home from the road straight to the sidelines. 🚐 As part of the program, consumers can also enter for the chance to RV like a VIP and win a game-changing fan experience package, according to a News & Insights report by the RV Industry Association (RVIA). #RVIndustryNews #FootballSeason #CollegeFootball #Tailgating #GORVing

The need for adventure and travel is global. 🌎 This photo proves it!
#Caravanning has long been a global phenomenon. This makes it all the more important to actively foster international exchange on trends, developments and regulatory frameworks. Each year, the CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf - the world's No.1 trade fair for mobile travel provides us with the valuable opportunity to engage with colleagues and associations from across the globe and to gain insights into the current market conditions in different countries. The United States and Australia hold a particularly important position within the international caravanning industry. Both countries are among the most significant markets worldwide and, with their dynamism and innovative strength, play a major role in shaping the industry’s development. The CIVD has therefore enjoyed long-standing and trusted relationships with the associations in these countries. We are therefore especially pleased that this year we once again had the opportunity to hold in-depth discussions with the RV Industry Association as well as the Caravan Industry Association of Australia. This dialogue highlights how essential close cooperation across continents is in order to shape the future of the caravanning industry together. Our sincere thanks go to the representatives of RVIA and CIIA – in particular Craig A. Kirby, James Ashurst and Mary Pouliot (RVIA), and Chris Johnson, Stuart Lamont, Mark Lindsay, Brad Slater and Wayne L. (CIIA)– as well as to their teams for the open exchange and valuable insights. #caravaning
