  • Taking a full day break from spreadsheets and swapping them for an autumn outing. ✅ Last week, our Prague office started their day in the beautiful premises of Mazel restaurant in Prague. The morning was packed with team updates – from our record media reach in 27 countries to how our portfolio is doing and which strategies will be steering us next year. ➡️ In the afternoon, almost 40 of us moved to FUTURENTO arena, where we split into teams of four and spent more than three hours solving puzzles, collecting points in the ball pit, climbing, and dodging lasers while completing missions – basically our everyday mix of brainstorming, teamwork, and challenges. Once again, it was great to get to know colleagues better outside the usual work setting and see that our team works just as well in trainers as it does in business shoes. ❇️ Thanks to everyone who joined!

  • From our headquarters in Prague to meetings in Perth, Wiluna, Sydney and Brisbane in less than two weeks. This is what “global” looks like for us in practice. 🌍 Our CFO, Zdeněk Čihák, and colleagues Dagmar Palkova Palková and David Brandejs, have returned from a work trip to Australia, visiting our portfolio companies, Sev.en Global Investments office in Sydney and catching up in person with our local team, Taisia Nistorenco and Mark Sykes. ➡️ The trip started in our company producing organic sulphate of potash - SO4. Meeting with the leadership in Perth, they later continued to the site in Wiluna to see progress on the new process plant sections and storage tanks. ➡️ From there, they moved on to Sydney to meet with Delta team and our Sev.en Global Investments colleagues based in Australia. ➡️ Another stop was Delta’s Vales Point power station, where they took a close look at the ongoing annual shutdown on Unit 5. Face to face time with our colleagues and experts on the ground is always worth the miles. ❇️ It helps us better understand our assets, make faster decisions and keep a close, personal connection to projects that are thousands kilometres away from Prague. Thank you all for the warm welcome and great hospitality. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

  • HOW TO DECARBONIZE STEEL AT REAL INDUSTRIAL SCALE? ❇️ That was the topic cutting through every panel and coffee break at the Green Steel Strategies 2025 conference in Brussels. Our colleagues, our colleagues Libor Černý, Head of Steel Business, and Investment Manager Jan Kraváček, were there to discuss all the big questions: 🔷 How fast can renewable energy, hydrogen and nuclear power support low carbon steel production? 🔷 Will there be enough quality scrap and high grade iron ore to meet demand? For Sev.en Global Investments, this is not just theory. ❇️ Through our 7 Steel operations in the UK and Nordics we are already turning ambition into action. 7 Steel is built on sustainable practices and a strong circular economy approach. ➡️ By using scrap as their main input, our plants focus on green steel production in electric arc furnaces – and in the Nordics, those furnaces run entirely on renewable hydro. ➡️ This way, 7 Steel significantly cuts the carbon emissions linked to conventional steelmaking. We see green steel as the new baseline for an industry that wants to stay competitive in a decarbonising world. If you are interested in where steel, energy and sustainability meet in real projects, 7 Steel is a story to watch. ✅

  • 🌍 Did you know that 95% of the world’s steel is made by continuous casting? A process so efficient it changed the steel industry. A process where molten steel cools as it moves, turning into solid shape. It’s faster, cleaner, and is up to 20% more energy-efficient than traditional methods. ❇️ ➡️ Dive into our latest chapter of the 7 Steps to Steel series to see how perfection is shaped every day at 7 Steel UK and 7 Steel Nordic, our European leaders in circular steel. #7stepstosteel #7steel

  • Czech-Vietnamese relations through camera lens ❇️ We’re proud to support LITTLE HANOI – NEXT GENERATION, a powerful photographic exhibition by Czech artists Štěpánka Stein and Vendy Mlejnská. The exhibition features around sixty portraits of young people of Vietnamese origin who grew up in the Czech Republic, paired with landscapes of Northern Vietnam, where many of their families have their roots. Together, these images explore what it means to grow up between two cultures: being deeply part of Czech society, while remaining connected to Vietnamese heritage. The exhibition opened on November 2 at Biennale Hanoi Photo ’25, in the largest contemporary art gallery in Hanoi, and will travel to Ho Chi Minh City and Prague in 2026. ✅ ➡️ As our Head of Communications Veronika Diamantová shared: 💬 “We are honored to support Little Hanoi – Next Generation, a remarkable work commemorating 75 years of Czech–Vietnamese diplomatic and economic relations. Our goal is to contribute positively not just to economies, but to the people, communities, and stakeholders we engage with.” ➡️ At the opening, H. E. Hynek Kmoníček, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Vietnam, said: 💬“The second generation always has it harder than the first. They didn’t choose their life. They were born into it, and now they have to deal with it. And how well they manage — you’ll see at this exhibition.” By supporting this exhibition and the Czech National Day celebration in Hanoi on October 28, we continue to build on the long-standing partnership between the Czech Republic and Vietnam.

  • Our colleague Radka Valesova among the 131 women shaping Czech finance! ❇️ Every year, the Czech business daily e15 and the initiative #FinŽeny | CZ & SK (Women in Finance) highlight the most inspiring women across the country’s financial sector - from banks and insurers to investment funds and advisory firms. This year’s edition features 131 remarkable professionals. And we’re proud that Radka Valesova, our Financial Group Controller, is among them! ➡️ Radka oversees financial reporting and controlling for our UK and US entities at Sev.en Global Investments, bringing an exceptional mix of analytical skill and determination. “With this year’s overview, we’ve surpassed 600 women featured in #FinŽeny. Once again, the list stands out for the number of organisations that took part. Without their support, such a project wouldn’t be possible,” says Jaroslav Kramer, founder of the initiative. We’re honoured to have inspiring women like Radka, and like Jana Karakolevova, Veronika Vystupova, and Dagmar Palkova, who were featured in last year’s list, as part of our Sev.en GI team!

  • Czech National Day in Hanoi! ❇️ On October 28, the Czech Embassy in Hanoi hosted a celebration marking 107 years since the founding of Czechoslovakia. The event brought together government officials, diplomats, and business leaders from both countries. The message was clear: Czech–Vietnamese relations are strong and growing. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Mr. Ngo Le Van, affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to deepening the Strategic Partnership with the Czech Republic, aiming for growth that’s both substantial and sustainable. ✅ Sev.en Global Investments was proud to support this celebration not only as a sponsor, but also as a committed investor. ➡️ With a major acquisition underway, we’re set to become the largest European investor in Vietnam’s energy sector.

  • ✅ A near $40 million maintenance program is now in full swing on Unit 5 at the Vales Point Power Station, operated by our Australian company Delta in New South Wales. ➡️ As a long-term investor, Sev.en GI supports these efforts, focused on ensuring the plant’s safety and reliability, and contributing to the security and stability of the region’s evolving energy system. The scale of activity is remarkable: 🔷 hundreds of people working on site 🔷 hundreds of permits and purchases issued 🔷 more than 600 tonnes of scaffolding installed to reach critical parts of the plant. The outage is also providing a boost to local businesses and Australian suppliers, with around 500 purchases made so far to deliver the program. At Sev.en Global Investments, we believe that maintaining existing infrastructure plays an important role in the energy transition - ensuring reliability today while enabling change for the future. ❇️ Well done to the Delta team and all partners involved in this major effort!
