Monday was Polynesian Bowl spirit day at our Shriners Children's Hawaii Central Oahu orthopedic clinic, where leaders from Shriners International and Shriners Children's stopped by to meet the team and tour the clinic. The new clinic brings care closer to home for keiki living in west and central Oahu and on the North Shore who need pediatric orthopedic care on a non-urgent outpatient basis.

Innovation happens when passionate minds come together! Clinicians, data scientists, engineers and researchers from Shriners Children’s, Georgia Tech and other universities gathered at the Shriners Children's Research Institute in Atlanta for our State of Research: Focus on AI and Orthopedics conference, where they shared information and ideas and explored new ways to collaborate. 

Meet Rachel Bishop, M.D., DDS, a cleft and craniofacial surgeon at Shriners Children's Shreveport. For many parents, Dr. Bishop is one of the first reassuring voices they hear. At her prenatal consultations, Dr. Bishop helps parents prepare, explaining feeding needs, expected surgeries and what to anticipate at birth. “In most prenatal consults I see, the mom is usually very tearful, and the dad is apprehensive.
