Empowering Excellence in the People Analytics Community

About us

OUR MISSION Empowering Excellence in the People Analytics Community At SPA, we are committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where people analytics professionals can thrive. Our mission is to empower excellence by providing resources, support, and opportunities that elevate the practice of people analytics across the globe. WHY WE STARTED In recent years, the field of people analytics has seen remarkable growth, with professionals eager to connect, learn, and advance their practices. However, despite the increase in meet-ups and gatherings, there has been a noticeable lack of consistency in protocol and content, with many events heavily reliant on vendor participation. Recognizing the need for a centralized, vendor-neutral space where practitioners of all levels can communicate, network, and grow, the Society for People Analytics was born.

  • Support the Future of People Analytics! 📊✨ As we close out the year, we’re reaching out to those who believe in the power of People Analytics, and in the community that has shaped this movement together. The Society for People Analytics (SPA) was created with one core belief: learning, connection, and development in our field should be accessible to everyone, regardless of role, networks, employer, or financial situation. 🌍 That’s why SPA has always been free. And why we’re asking for support as we prepare for 2026. SPA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible. Double Your Impact by checking whether your employer offers donation matching; many do. Why We’re Fundraising Now 📈 SPA is entirely volunteer-run. Every program, event, and connection is powered by people who care deeply about this profession. To keep growing sustainably, we need the infrastructure to support our fast-expanding community. Your donation helps us: ➤ Keep SPA Free 🎓 Ensure students, early-career analysts, and career changers can access high-quality content without financial barriers. ➤ Build a Modern Community Platform 🤝 Support better member insights, tailored programming, and a centralized space for collaboration. ➤ Scale Our Mentor Connect Program 🧭 Meet the growing demand for mentorship with a dedicated matching platform. ➤ Strengthen the Course Explorer & Future Learning Pathways 📚 Expand curated learning resources and begin building SPA’s People Analytics Body of Knowledge and future certification. Help Us Shape the Future of Our Field 🌟 If SPA has supported your learning, network, strategy, or sense of community, we invite you to pay it forward. Every contribution matters. Every amount helps our global community stay connected and continue to grow. 💛 — The SPA Board of Directors

  • What an inspiring few days at the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Leading Edge People Analytics Consortium! 🙌 We were thrilled to connect with so many of our members in person, and to welcome so many new faces into the Society for People Analytics (SPA) community! 💙 A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Board of Directors, Committee Members, and Advisory Board Members who represented SPA throughout the event — from engaging conversations at our table to thought-provoking workshops and presentations that advanced the field of People Analytics. A special shoutout to our Executive Director, Stephanie Murphy, Ph.D., and Community Chair, Cole Napper, who were co-chairs leading this wonderful event! It was great to be included as a SIOP LEC Vendor Experience Partner, and we look forward to continued collaboration in supporting the growth and evolution of the People Analytics community. #PeopleAnalytics #SPACommunity #SIOP #BuildingTogether #Community
