About us

Africa's leading voice in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. We are the continental hub uniting researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and advocates to transform public health across Africa. OUR MISSION We coordinate Africa's response to its most pressing infectious disease challenges, working in collaboration with the World Health Organization, UNAIDS, the International AIDS Society, and national health organizations across the continent. Through research, training, and strategic partnerships, we're building Africa's capacity to prevent, treat, and manage HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria while mitigating their devastating impact on communities. WHAT WE DO - Convene international conferences and workshops that advance knowledge sharing on HIV/AIDS, STIs, TB, malaria, and emerging infections - Promote cutting-edge research and training on prevention and care strategies tailored to African contexts - Maintain a central registry connecting professionals and organizations engaged in AIDS research and prevention activities - Advocate fearlessly against discrimination and stigmatization while ensuring ethical standards in all research and clinical trials - Mobilize and manage resources to support critical activities in the fight against these diseases - Champion the total wellbeing of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS OUR VOICE We represent Africa's scientific community as a voice of reason in global health debates, ensuring the continent's perspectives, priorities, and innovations shape international policy and practice. We don't just observe the fight against infectious disease in Africa—we lead it. Join us in creating a healthier, more resilient Africa.
