Reading growth in action! 📖 Each year, DREAM participants make steady progress, with the biggest leaps in Grades 3–6 — when confidence, curiosity, and skills all take off together. Here, reading fluency rises ~14 words per minute each grade level. At DREAM, we celebrate these moments. We had a lovely time celebrating DREAM’s expansion into Washington D.C. with 40 alumni and new friends! The event took place at The House at 1229, a social club for women involved in non-profit work. We are grateful to them for hosting us, providing DREAM D.C. with a space to foster connections and build community. We’re thrilled to announce that we are one of the recipients of Drexel University Lindy Center’s 2025 Anti-Racist Civic Engagement (ARCE) mini-grant! Through this grant members of DREAM Philadelphia will visit the African American Museum in Center City to immerse themselves in Black history, culture, and accomplishment. The funds from the ARCE grant will help facilitate the trip as well as pre- and post- reflections.
