Celebrating STRIVE at The École 🎉 In a letter in May 2024, our Head of School, Jean-Yves Vesseau, introduced a vision rooted in The École’s WE CARE mission: ensuring that every child benefits from flexible, personalized, and responsive learning. That vision led to the creation of the STRIVE Department — Stimulate, Transform, Reach, Identify, Value, and Enrich. Today, STRIVE is fully woven into life at The École, supporting students from Pre-Nursery through 8th Grade. 🏫 Our STRIVE team: two full-time certified French teachers (Camille Riche & Jean-Marc Yven) and two full-time certified American teachers (Erika Cavallo & Lauren Vogel) — works hand-in-hand with classroom teachers to enhance differentiation across all subjects, including English, French, Math, Science, and Social Studies. STRIVE provides both: Push-in support ➝ tailored instruction delivered directly in the classroom Pull-out support ➝ targeted small-group or individual instruction for deeper reinforcement or enrichment 🌍 This flexible model allows us to: - meet students exactly where they are, - support newcomers to English or French, - reinforce key skills and concepts, - and enrich learning for students who are ready to go further 🚀 This year, Maya LePique has been replacing Camille during her maternity leave. We look forward to welcoming Camille back in January, as Maya returns to our 1st Grade team to replace Molly Davis. After one year, STRIVE has already proven to be an ambitious, innovative, and highly effective part of our bilingual program — and we’re excited to see its impact continue to grow.
