Over the past week, our teams in Newark and Bridgeton came together to make the holidays extra special for our residents and their families. We provided holiday snacks and added a festive twist: the chance to build gingerbread houses. In Newark, not only was every child who visited able to build a gingerbread house with their family, they received a toy and pajamas to help spread holiday cheer. One moment that we will remember: a mother shared that in her 58 years, she had never built a gingerbread house—and now plans to make it a new family tradition. This past weekend, we had the privilege of volunteering at the Holiday Toy Drive hosted by the Sheriff of Philadelphia's Office at Ardella’s House West. It was an incredible experience for Jenell McClinton, Kintock's Reentry Resource Specialist, to witness the joy and smiles on the faces of children and their parents. Families left with more than just toys—they received brand-new coats and gift cards, making the holiday season a little brighter for so many. The impact was truly inspiring, and it was amazing to see our community come together to support families during this special time of year.
