One of the reasons we offer training courses to our customers is because making the effort to educate means we get the chance to share and build our knowledge and expertise, whilst making new connections and learning more about customer needs along the way. And our recent training in South Africa really stood out this month. At Lubrizol, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint through innovative waste management and resource optimization. Here’s a glimpse into our latest initiatives at our Delfzijl, Netherlands, plant: ♻️ Waste Recycling: We collect and separate various waste streams, including metals, electronics, paper, and plastics, ensuring they are treated for recycling whenever possible. We've also partnered with B-Plast Germany and Best Trade Netherlands to recycle PVC/CPVC waste into new plastics. 💧 Water Optimization: In collaboration with Nobian, we're exploring the use of condensate water from a nearby salt plant to replace high-quality drinking water in our processes, potentially reducing our annual water intake by 250,000 m³. These initiatives reflect Lubrizol's commitment to innovation and sustainability, as we continuously seek ways to reduce our environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
