I was back at Cornell University this week—but not in Ithaca. Grateful for the opportunity to join the Cornell University: Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy’s Cornell in Washington DC Start program as a guest lecturer. I had the pleasure to lecture in Thomas Garrett’s American Soft Power course, where we explored how writing itself can be a form of soft power and how students can use their voices to shape today’s global climate. I also shared insights from my work with the Ramos Research Institute, reflected on my time as Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell Policy Review, and discussed the broader importance of civic engagement. Thank you to Professor Garrett for the invite! The students were electric—thoughtful, engaged, and full of ideas. It was the perfect way to kick off a day of meetings in our nation’s capital. #Cornell #WashingtonDC #CornellinWashington #AmericanSoftPower #Writing #PolicyWriting #WritingAsSoftPower #BrooksSchoolOfPublicPolicy #RRI #RamosResearchInstitute #CPR #CornellPolicyReview #Democracy #Civics #MediaLiteracy #GuestLecture
