The Neighborhood Design Center’s 2025 Youth CoLab teamed up with Church and Community Development for All People's Fresh Market and Directions for Youth & Families to enhance a space already rooted in community care. Through bold murals with meaning, playful gathering spaces, and thoughtful wayfinding, these young designers helped make the market experience even more welcoming, joyful, and easy to navigate. The third edition of the Columbus Book Festival brought the love of literature to life—from inspiring author talks and buzzing book tents to peaceful moments in Topiary Park and dizzying spins of the kindness wheel at the Center for HumanKindness tent. Over two days, tens of thousands gathered to celebrate stories, meet authors, shop local, and connect through a shared love of reading. Thank you to the Columbus Metropolitan Library and the many volunteers, partners, and vendors who made it all possible. This festival is a powerful reminder of how books—and libraries—bring communities together. Here’s to another successful chapter in this growing Columbus tradition!
