With a career spanning over 40 years in pulmonary, and healthcare as a whole, Martin brought an energy that reverberated throughout our halls. His compassion and dedication to our hospital, patients, and colleagues are attributes we all admired and now promise to carry on. Earlier this month, Tri-City Medical Center, in partnership with Ocean Hills Country Club, hosted our final Lunch Wise event of 2025! We welcomed two expert speakers: Dr. Kern Brar, Physician of Internal Medicine and Dr. Christopher Bo, Board Certified Physiatrist in Spinal Cord Injury. Dr. Brar discussed comprehensive medical testing and evaluation, as well as a range of personalized health services offered through his practice, A Personal Physician. Dr. Bo shared insights into his work as a physiatrist at Tri-City, supporting patients in their recovery following spinal cord injuries, and highlighted key strategies for preventing such injuries. Tri-City Medical Center and the County of San Diego are proud to announce the opening of the Psychiatric Health Facility or PHF. Designed to provide 24/7 compassionate, short-term inpatient care for those experiencing a mental health crisis. A vital step toward improving access to urgent mental health support in our community.
