A big milestone for Huffy BMX this week- the launch of the Sledgehammer, their first pro-level freestyle frame in over 20 years. At United Wheels, we’re proud to support our brands as they innovate and push into new territory. This frame reflects not only Huffy Corporation’s heritage in BMX, but also the incredible teamwork across design, product, operations, and marketing that made it possible. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the Sledgehammer to life.
This week, Huffy BMX officially launched the Sledgehammer, our first pro-level freestyle frame in over two decades. When we reentered BMX, our vision was clear: support riders at every stage of their journey, from their very first bike to their first Olympic podium. The Sledgehammer represents a major step in making that vision reality. This launch was made possible through the dedication and collaboration of so many. From countless hours of product development with Huffy BMX riders Nick Bruce and Huck Kurinsky, to the cross-functional efforts of our APD, Product, Design, IT, Marketing, EComm, Factory, and Warehouse teams- every detail was considered, refined, and brought to life with precision. The result? A frame capable of meeting the demands of world-class riders while inspiring the next generation of BMX athletes. We're proud to bring the Sledgehammer to market and to reaffirm Huffy BMX’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of design, performance, and accessibility in the BMX sport.

Lat week at Huffy HQ in Miamisburg, Ohio, we kicked off something new- Shop Talk! Sample Shop and Facilities Supervisor Mike led our very first hands-on class, teaching the team how to tackle flat tires. We'll be running more classes in the future to cover topics such as brake adjustments and keeping a bike ride ready. It was such a fun way to learn, connect, and get even closer to the products we create for riders all over the world. 🌍 We’re big believers that learning by doing builds confidence - whether that’s on the road, on the trail, or right here in the workplace. We're excited to offer our team fun opportunities like this to learn and do more. Have you ever taken a class at work that completely changed the way you think about what you do?
